What we read while fumbling the football…

  • One of us is from Staten Island and now lives close to the Jersey Shore. In other words, he’s just living the dream.
  • We’ve been really enjoying Charles P. Pierce’s blog at, and this post’s title, which is almost as long as the post itself, is perfect in taking a shot at fellow Bostonian, Bill Simmons.

“Shortly after John S worried that the Supreme Court was going to make a terrible decision, they made a different terrible decision”

I would be interested in a post that substantiates why this is so…seems like a victory for free speech to me…a decision that reverses legislation that helped incumbents..but what do I know?

A more detailed post should be on its way, but very quickly: Spending money is not the same as speech, and replacing a status quo that favors incumbents with one that favors corporate interests is, at best, a lateral move.
